Surveillance Operations
Licensed investigators who watch a subject and write down what they actually do. When a claim or a dispute turns on someone's daily activity, the footage and the log usually settle it.
What we do
- Surveillance on claimants and parties
- Activity checks on claimed injuries or limits
- Residence and employment confirmation
- Pre-service observation of evasive parties
- Documentation of property and vehicles
- Multi-day and multi-investigator operations
What it's used for
- Insurance claims. Workers' compensation, disability, and injury claims where the claimed limitation is in question.
- Litigation. Confirming where a party lives or works, whether they are operating a business they say is closed, or whether they are complying with an order.
- Corporate matters. Suspected moonlighting, non-compete violations, and misuse of company time or property.
- Service of process. Establishing a reliable pattern before attempting service on someone who avoids it.
How we document it
Every operation is recorded with time-stamped video and photographs, along with a written log that notes the time and location of each observation. You receive the footage and log with a summary report. If the matter may need testimony, the investigator can provide a declaration. Let us know at intake so we can arrange retention.
We plan each operation before it starts: the subject's likely schedule, the locations, the number of investigators, and the hours. That plan is what you approve, and what you're billed against.
Lawful surveillance only
Our investigators work from public places and record only what can lawfully be observed. We don't trespass, place trackers on vehicles we don't have the right to, record private conversations, or pretend to be someone else to get access.
Surveillance: common questions
Is private investigator surveillance legal in Washington?
Yes. Licensed investigators can conduct surveillance in Washington as long as they stay within the law. Ours work from public places and record only what can lawfully be observed. We don't trespass, record private conversations, or place trackers on vehicles we have no right to.
What do I receive after surveillance?
Time-stamped video and photographs, a written log of what was observed and when, and a summary report. If testimony may be needed, tell us at intake so the investigator can provide a declaration later.
How much does surveillance cost?
Surveillance is quoted per matter from an operation plan that sets the hours, locations, and number of investigators. You approve the plan and the cost before it starts.
Who runs your surveillance operations?
Surveillance is directed by Chris Frazier, our Director of Surveillance & Protection, with a team of licensed field investigators whose names we keep private for their safety.
